Copper Bob Bourbon

Copper Bob Bourbon

Copper Bob Bourbon is the result of a creative partnership between Bob White and Rick Schneider, artists and adventurers.

THE BOURBON

Rick began his distilling career in 2010 studying at Dry Fly Distilling in Spokane, Washington. Rick and his wife Nikki founded Isanti Spirits in 2013 and began distilling on their rural Isanti, Minnesota property in 2015.

Rick searched the country for a special whiskey to bottle for Copper Bob Bourbon, eventually choosing a rare 15-year-old Kentucky Bourbon, distilled by the Bardstown Distillery. This was no easy task as the growth of the craft distilling industry has generated intense competition for special barrels.

THE ARTWORK

I began guiding fly fishermen in Alaska in 1984 and Argentina the following year. Lisa and I still fish and host trips to both destinations. I believe that artists should paint what they know and love. The images I create depict fishermen I’ve known, the fish they pursue, and the environs we cherish.

Copper Bob Bourbon is named after the Copper Bob Nymph, a fly I designed in 1988. If we’ve fished together, you no doubt have a few in your fly box. The four labels on Copper Bob Bourbon are some of my favorite paintings. I hope you’ll enjoy them.
