As a young man, everything worthwhile in life seemed to lay on a path just over the northern horizon. In 1984, when I got to the end of that road, I found myself in Alaska working as a fishing guide.
I’ve never had a plan for anything in my life, and find that I’m better off when I modestly embrace where I am, and what’s going on around me.
After guiding in Alaska for a summer, I decided to see what was at the other end of the road, and ended up in Patagonia.
Since then, my life has become a pleasant and continuous journey between Alaska and Argentina, with stops in between to record my experiences in the artwork I create.
Here’s a collection of images from my time in Alaska.
